Health and Safety
For any emergency, dial 112 to reach police, fire, or medical services anywhere in Greece. This number is free of charge and operates 24/7.
Mobile Networks
Athens has several mobile network providers with reliable 4G coverage and expanding 5G availability in the city. International roaming may work, but purchasing a local SIM or eSIM is often more cost-effective.
Climate
Athens has a Mediterranean climate. In late September, temperatures typically range from 20°C to 30°C, with mostly sunny days and occasional showers.
Currency
The official currency is the Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted, and ATMs are readily available throughout Athens.
